Week 3
So I am wrapping up week three of this class and I have felt the stress of trying to figure out the WebQuest paper, work on my curriculum unit, and of course the other million things it seems are going on right now in my life! I have completed my portion of the WebQuest paper and I'm feeling great about that! It is a little more difficult working on the internet with groups since it may take us awhile to realize we e-mailed each other, etc. but it is all coming together!! My curriculum unit I'm really excited about and trying hard to get it to work. I have actually worked before with HTML when I was younger (like junior high!) so I was kind of neat that I could use some of that in the boxes when you want to put your text in. I wasn't happy with how it would appear without HTML so that is why I started using some of that. I wanted to put in pictures but I haven't been able to figure out a place that I can upload the image to and use the source for the image. This week was a fun week at my school we had no school on Friday and a field trip yesterday for a food summit for my student council kids so it was a pretty easy one! Hope everyone else is doing great! Good luck!!

ESheets & Hotlists
This week I have created an E-Sheet and a Hotlist and I think these are both tools that I can use in my classroom. I really liked the Hotlist idea for my eighth graders when they do a report in my class about Spanish speaking countries. This could be a great way for them to gather information and organize it for themselves. I could create a basic one that would be a starting point for information and they can add to it to customize it for their country. The E-Sheet is another great tool that I could really use for any class or topic we are discussing. The one I did was on numbers in Spanish. A thought I had was students could also use this outside of the classroom to keep practicing during study halls or at home to become even better at the information!

Websites
I looked at the website Geek Your Teaching. I was able to look through different aspects of using technology in our classrooms. I was able to explore these different sites and find information about them. One that I thought my middle schoolers would really enjoy is using MakeBeliefsComix.com. This is a site that allows students to create their own comic strips and to input their own words! I could have students create their own Spanish comic strips. This would let them do something fun and still use their knowledge of their new language.
Another website that I am really interested in is TerraClues. This is a website that allows students to search the internet for different clues like a scavenger hunt. This could let students explore different countries, sites, culture, etc. This is extremely important in my class because an important part to my curriculum is culture and diversity. This would let students explore and challenge themselves to find information.
I think that this website is really helpful and I am excited to try some of these new things in my classroom. I'm always looking for new things to try in my classroom and to incorporate technology.
