This seems like a really neat way to do a lesson for students. I looked through some of the examples that they had and I found some that would be great for my ESL students. This is something that I hope that I can explore more and find different resources that I can utilize in my class. I would like to use this also to create some lessons for my classes.
This is something that is off topic but another great website that I found is www.screencast-o-matic.com/. This allows you to "screencast" your computer where you can take video of you doing whatever on your computer. This would be really neat for many classes and can show students detailed instructions. Just thought I would share my findings as well! :)

For some reason this video won't show the pictures but if you click the link at the bottom of the embedded video it will work. I have no idea why it won't bring it up but hopefully that will work for everyone! :)

Delicious Account
Delicious is great! I have been wanting a way to share my bookmarks from my home computer and my school computer and this is great! I did it the "stupid" way of e-mailing myself all of the links so then I had them before. How dumb now since I can use this! I will be able to use this a lot next year also because I am changing school districts and I won't have to lose everything that I have saved from my current school. What a relief! I thought it was also really nice how you can find other bookmarks that other people have that are popular or about a similar topic. This is a great way to find other resources that I can use. I am really pleased with this!
Podcast Proposal
Final Project Proposal
Purpose of your Podcast
The purpose of this podcast is to reach out to students and families to explain what we are doing in class that week. I will also review main ideas of the class in case a student is gone they can hear small parts of the classes to be able to stay on track with the class and not fall behind. This will also allow parents to have an idea of what to expect from their child for that week and to know what topics we are discussing. I will also highlight upcoming events for next week that are important for the student to know about.
Podcast Description
Identify your intended audience: My intended audience is for students and parents.
Will you broadcast daily, weekly, monthly? My broadcast will air weekly at the end of the week to review the entire week.
Will you host your production? Your students? I will host the podcast so then students can hear my voice speaking Spanish which they are used to. Sometimes I can have students helping if there is a conversation component that was in a lesson to have two different speaking voices in the podcast.
Will the length of your show be a few minutes, 15 minutes? The podcast will vary week to week depending on the information that we have covered. It will however stay relatively short by having three to five minute podcasts to try and have it be a brief review of the week and details about the course and upcoming events.
Will the format/content of your show be newsletter, tips and tricks, make-up work lectures? My format will be a mix between newsletters with the information that the students need, but also make-up work lectures because students can review the basic concepts from the week.
Give a detailed description…
The podcast will air on Fridays to review the week that has just concluded. Students and parents will be able to find any important information out about that week and any upcoming events for the next week. Students will be able to review the main ideas that are from that week with small review parts that will be available on the podcast as well.
Include any state/local objectives this podcast will address
The state standards will be reviewed through the five C’s of foreign language. These five are connections, comparisons, communities, communication, and cultures. These will vary every week which standards are being met.

Animoto, Picnik, & Free Play Music
I really enjoyed using these tools to create a movie! I have used PowerPoint's before to show students pictures of my travels and I believe this would be a much more affective way for them to see the pictures. I have looked at Animoto before and was confused by it. I feel like I have a much better understanding of what it has available. Before I was searching to use videos in my classroom and I did not find much. Now, I have figured out how to create different projects that will be fitting for my classes. I also LOVE Picnik! This is something that I think I actually may subscribe to. I have not found a program that is on my new laptop that is as good. I love taking pictures and this will be a fun way to edit and make them even better. The FreePlayMusic is a great tool to be able to use music to enhance your presentation. I think I will use this quite a bit when I create new movies for Animoto. I really enjoyed it!
